TIME magazine has an article on their website which lists their picks for the Top 25 Movie Soundtracks. It points out the obvious choices, such as "The Sound of Music," "West Side Story," and "Pulp Fiction," to name a few. In response to the lack of representation, here's a list of some of my favorite movie soundtracks, along with their stand-out songs. Enjoy!

Great choices! I can't hear "Stuck in the Middle With You" anymore without thinking of Reservoir Dogs. One of my favorites, also courtesy of Quentin Taratino, is Kill Bill Vol. 1, with Santa Esmerelda's cover of "Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood" being my favorite.

ReplyDeleteDazed and Confused remains one of my favorite 'scored' films. The soundtrack perfectly matches the spirit of the times. And every time I watch it, I start rocking out in my head!
